Mellel ("us", "we", or "Company") respects your privacy and committed to protect the privacy of the individuals (“user(s)” or “you” or “yours”) using either our Mellel application (“App”), our website available at: https://www.mellel.com/ (“Site”) and Services (as defined in Company’s EULA). This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) provides disclosures on how and why we collect, share and use information that we collect from our users. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully prior to using the Services and to use it to make informed decisions. This Privacy Policy is an integrated part of the Company’s EULA, available at: https://www.mellel.com/eula-retail/ (for purchases via our store) or https://www.mellel.com/eula-mas/ (for purchases via the Mac App Store) definitions herein shall have same meaning as defined in the EULA.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS: THIS PRIVACY POLICY IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND US. BY ACCESSING OR INSTALLING THE APP AND USING OUR SERVICES, YOU HEREBY AGREE AND ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. ANY USE OR CONTINUED USE OF THE SERVICES CONSTITUTES YOUR AGREEMENT AND CONSENT TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS, INSTALL OR USE THE APP OR SERVICES AND WHERE RELEVANT UNINSTALL.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT The first type of information is non-identifiable information which may be made available or gathered via your use of the Services (“Non-Personal Information”). We are not aware of the identity of the user from which the Non-Personal Information was collected.
The Non-Personal Information which is being collected may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including: certain software and hardware information, i.e., operating system, type of device, location, Mellel version, the session ID, the time and date you access and use the Services, etc.; and your Mac address or IP. Please note, we consider this data to be Non-Personal Information, however, in some countries and jurisdictions this data might be considered as identifying and “Personal Information”.
The second type of information is individually identifiable information, namely information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable effort identify an individual (“Personal Information”). The Personal Information may be collected and stored only if voluntarily provided by as follows:
- Registration: information that you provide when you create an Account. For example, in order to register to the Services, we require basic contact information such as: first and last name, email address or company name, company address, etc.
- Payment: in order to Purchase the Services, you will be required to fill in your payment details, such as: credit card numbers, PayPal account, billing address etc. We use Third-Party Processors, in order to charge our users for the purchase of the License, thus, your payment details are not disclosed or shared with us. Your payment information will be subject to the Third-Party Processor’s privacy policies.
- Contact Information: we may collect your contact details, such as name as email address, voluntary provided by you when you contact us, provided that such information will be used solely to communicate with and support you, and will not be shared with any third parties.
- Forum: If you voluntarily register to the forum available in our Site, you will be asked to provide us with your name and your email address.
- Newsletter Subscription: if you voluntarily subscribe to our Newsletter you will be asked to provide us with your email address, you can unsubscribe at any moment by clicking unsubscribe.
If we combine Personal Information with Non-Personal Information, the combined information will be treated as Personal Information for as long as it remains combined.

We use your information collected to provide you with our Service. We collect your information in an effort to improve our users’ experience, to communicate with you about our Service, and to further develop, customize, enhance and improve the performance of the Service. WITH WHOM WE SHARE THE INFROMATION, AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE
The Company will not share any Personal Information collected from you with third parties or any of our partners except in the following events: (i) Authorized Disclosures. We may disclose your Personal Information to third parties when you consent to a particular disclosure. Please note that once we share your information with another company, that information becomes subject to the other company’s privacy practices; (ii) Compelled Disclosures. THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related actions (e.g., maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Services’ features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Services are used. These third parties do not have access to your Personal Information and are obligated not to disclose or use any user’s information for any other purpose.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites, services or applications, even if they are accessible through our Services. Data privacy and related laws in your jurisdiction may provide you with different or additional rights related to the data we collect from you, which may also apply.
Even after providing your consent to this Policy, you are entitled to change your mind. If you do, you may easily opt out of the data collection related to our Service by contacting us or by uninstalling the App.
DATA SECURITY, INTEGRITY AND RETENTION
Your privacy is very important to us and we are committed to protecting your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We have implemented physical, technical and administrative security measures for the Services that comply with applicable laws and industry standards. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access or abuse our Services, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will be able to prevent such access. CHANGES TO THE POLICY
We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise this Policy From time to time, at our sole discretion. The most recent version of the Policy will always be posted on the Site. If we do make any changes, the updated date at the top of the Policy will be reflected in the “Last Revised” heading.
